I too agree that the safety inspections are very helpful, but this is an actual come to the office and go through our payroll records - It has nothing to do with safety.  Wish I would have been on that list.   Jan

I have generally found the visits from CIS to be helpful in identifying and reducing our risks.  Remember that we are all part of a not-for-profit insurance pool that keeps our insurance rates competitive vs. what we could obtain from the private sector.  Speaking as a representatie of a jurisdiction that has had some very large claims, I appreciate their risk-management efforts.
