Steven, I've done 323 1/2 degree evaluations since I started in the profession. It's worked well for me, although I've had to live with some less than complimentary comments from time to time. If people are unhappy with me I prefer to know about it. Sometimes the comments help you to change unhealthy habits. Sometimes you just shrug them off as part of the cost of doing your job. I may work up the courage to do the full 360 before I retire. Apparently she enters all the email addresses of the employees, council and planning commission and they send out a questionnaire and they return it back to the Mayor with the responses without giving names. I remember a discussion on the listserve a while back about this topic but I wanted to respond to the Mayor in writing as to why a 360 evaluation is a bad idea. Any input would be greatly appreciated? Thanks. Steven M. Weaver City Manager City of Carlton P.O.
