Congrats as well.
You have been the model especially when dealing with senior personnel
issues. While you may leave that position in June, I expect and
hope that we will continue to see you in and around the profession
(special projects/consultant Pete).

At the City Council goal setting workshop on Saturday, I announced my
retirement as City Manager. I will be here through the end of June. No
pressure from the council and overall, a very good working relationship with
them. So no regrets, it's just time to do something else with my time. By
a rough calculation, I'm right around 1,000 city council meetings over my
career. I think that's quite enough!!
