As the old saying goes - All good things must have a "beginning" - or something like that.  I'm sure your retirement and new adventures will add to the many good things in your life so far.  Toledo has done very well during your tenure - you will be missed there and at our City/County COG managers' monthly meetings - although you will always be welcome.

At the City Council goal setting workshop on Saturday, I announced my
retirement as City Manager.  I will be here through the end of June.  No
pressure from the council and overall, a very good working relationship with
them.  So no regrets, it's just time to do something else with my time.  By
a rough calculation, I'm right around 1,000 city council meetings over my
career.  I think that's quite enough!!
