Congratulations Pete,

I've enjoyed the various peer counseling sessions over the years.  If
you haven't started working on a response yet you should give some
thought to the inevitable "So, how would you like to be a Range Rider?'
question.

At the City Council goal setting workshop on Saturday, I announced my
retirement as City Manager.  I will be here through the end of June.  No
pressure from the council and overall, a very good working relationship
with
them.  So no regrets, it's just time to do something else with my time.
By
a rough calculation, I'm right around 1,000 city council meetings over
my
career.  I think that's quite enough!!
