Congratulations Pete.  I remember touring your downtown redevelopment
project and being amazed at how much the city accomplished and how
reasonable the price was.   You served Toledo very well!

At the City Council goal setting workshop on Saturday, I announced my
retirement as City Manager.  I will be here through the end of June.  No
pressure from the council and overall, a very good working relationship with
them.  So no regrets, it's just time to do something else with my time.  By
a rough calculation, I'm right around 1,000 city council meetings over my
career.  I think that's quite enough!!
